Mornings don’t go by faster because you curse them
Weekends don’t go slower if you pray
No matter what hour you vent your frustration
You still manage to get pushed inside a daze
It’s those 24 hour spells you get stuck in
The hell you face daily feels so reluctant
Hopes the routine will yield new instruction
But the hour glass isn’t budging; there’s no such luck in
Change can’t fit inside the budget
Economy is too damn weak to roll the dice
And now our dreams are reserved to chase whimsy
To the point it feels like we go for it in spite
Excited, we see the light at
The end of the tunnel at its brightest
Reach for it, before it’s in hand we’re blinded
That seems morbid; with no direction, we keep going
Eyes closed, we’re free flowing
But little do we know about the concept of current
Since ‘back to square one’ is a constant occurrence
Trapped and feel once we give in to the burdens
